My Basket Studio
Molds, molds and more molds.	My little library and weaving corner.
My work table. I have plenty of great natural light.	I keep all my supplies in clear plastic tubs labeled and organized by size.

John C. Campbell Folk School 2008

The three baskets I wove, large Shaker tatting, 1/2 scale Shaker carrier with maple runners and 2" puzzle cathead. I made the handles and rims for all of these baskets and even the molds for the two larger baskets.	Jane's projects for the week.

John C. Campbell Folk School 2007
JoAnn makes it look easy to pound a black ash billet.	After much pounding the individual growth rims begin to peel away.
JoAnn holds one of her incredible black ash baskets.	Along with the basketry class there were about a dozen other classes going on, including blacksmithing.
Each night there is a different demonstration going on.	The two baskets I finished in class. Both sport complicated twill patterns.
JoAnn and I after an incredible week at the John C. Campbell Folk School.	The "rock room" where the basketry classes are held.

I take a break to pound a sample log Alice had.	We take a trip to visit Martha Wetherbee and Alan Litchfield at their ash camp.
My completed basket with hand-carved oak swing-handles.	JoAnn Kelly Catsos came up to the Snowbound B&B for a visit and brought along this little beauty.
